Sacred Menarche:
Honoring Her First Moon

A beautiful ritual that honors and supports the physical, mental and spiritual initiation of motherhood and the changes they bring.

This ceremony focuses on restoring stability to the mothers body, honoring the transformation from maiden to mother and allows the new mom to be cared for and nourished by her sisters.

I provide the framework and facilitation of the ceremony.

Closing of the Bones:
Honoring Her Transition into Mother

Honor your daughters sacred transition from childhood to womanhood with a beautiful ceremony welcoming her into womanhood.

A Sacred Menarche ceremony is a lost right of passage that celebrates the beautiful transition from girl to woman with the celebration and recognition of a young woman’s first moon bleed. We welcome the enormity and power that this young woman now holds as she now possesses the power to create life!

I provide the framework for the ceremony along with suggestions and guidance for the mother and daughter about how to prepare for the ceremony.

This ceremony can be preformed for any women who bleeds and wishes to reclaim their moon as a sacred, blessing with a ceremony in honor of their first menarche.

Initiation for Young Men:
Honoring His Transition into
the Community

Much emphasis has been placed on honoring the mother through her transition from Maiden to Mother, but let us not forget about Dad too!

Men go through a dramatic transformation with the birth of a child too.

This ceremony will provide the framework and space for the father to be welcomed, received and honored by his peers, community and family so he may stand tall knowing he has the support and love of his community behind him.

This ritual is for all fathers, new fathers, fathers of grown adults, all fathers who never received the recognition, welcoming and receiving from their community to honor the initiation they undertook.

Fatherhood Ceremony:
Honoring His Transition to
Lead & Protect

In tribal society, 13 marked an important time in a young man’s life when he would cross the threshold from child into manhood, welcomed into the tribe or family as a now contributing member of the community. Unfortunately, todays society does not see our young men as the essential contributors that they are until they reach the “legal” age of 18. This is why I created and honored my young men with a ceremony for Initiates: not yet a man in the eyes of society, yet no longer a boy.

In the Initiate Ceremony, young men are honored and initiated into a larger role in the family and community, acknowledging their transition from boy to young man. This ceremony includes sacred, special gifts from the parents that they present as well as words of love, affirmation and acknowledgment from siblings, family members or close friends.

Based on the ceremonies I have preformed for all my young men, I provide the framework and facilitation as well as guidance on the other elements of the ceremony to honor the passage of a boy into this very sacred space of Initation.

This ceremony can be customized as needed to incorporate family specific wants, needs or religious preferences.
